Deloitte Cybersecurity Internship Overview
The goal of the Deloitte Cybersecurity Internship is to provide ambitious professionals with the opportunity to acquire technological skills that are in high demand in the fields of information technology and cybersecurity. Deloitte is making a bigger commitment to developing future leaders in the digital security field, and this is a part of that effort.
Job Purpose
The goal of the Cyber Security program at Deloitte Academy is to give students the skills they need to take advantage of new possibilities in the Cyber Security and IT fields.
Note: This is not a job initiative. It is a skill-building program that will give young people who want to graduate with useful skills they can use to solve problems now and in the future.
Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., etc.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable area with at least a second-class upper/upper credit.
- Have at least five credits in WASSCE Ordinary Level/NECO courses or an accepted comparable test, including Mathematics and English Language, in a single sitting.
- Must be 28 years old or younger as of the date of application.
- Capable of thinking outside the box and fast learning new ideas on their own.
- Cybersecurity certification would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of information technology (operating systems, networks, and application development).
- Knowledge of information technology systems (OS, applications, networks, and databases).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of any of the following areas will be advantageous: vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, security standard implementation, security operations, network monitoring, incident response, incident investigation, email security, security analytics, and deployment or management of security tools such as SIEM, NAC, DAM, WAF, NGFW, UTM, etc.
