Do you reside in Europe, Africa, or the Middle East? Do you have a startup and planning on expanding abroad? Then Google invites you to apply for the 2025 Google for Startups Growth Academy AI for GovTech.
You will mostly need to devote one to two hours each week to the program in order to attend your group and mentorship sessions. Your individual mentorship meetings with your mentor will be scheduled, but the sessions with other founders will be adapted to accommodate most participation.
This hybrid program includes two mandatory in-person components, each spanning two to three days, and requires the attendance of at least one co-founder at these sessions.

About the 2025 Google for Startups Growth Academy
Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for GovTech is a three-month program for EMEA-based Seed to Series A startups that use AI to create solutions that help governments and communities in critical sectors like agriculture, cybersecurity, education, energy, housing, transportation, and manufacturing.
The program, which includes a series of workshops, mentoring, and networking events, assists entrepreneurs in developing data-driven strategies for recruiting new consumers and collaborations, as well as tools for responsible innovation with emerging technologies and expanding into new industries.
After the initial three months of core content, Google continues to provide product assistance and mentorship to help entrepreneurs overcome their issues.

Entry criteria for the Google for Startups Growth Academy
- Seed to Series A startups situated in Europe, the Middle East, and/or Africa seeking to expand abroad.
- focus on AI to innovate in government technology in sectors such as digital public services, smart cities, digital infrastructure, public health, education, energy, environmental and climate response, safety, and security.
- Startups must have exhibited traction (investment, users, and income).
- Startups must have a scalable product or service with a large total addressable market and a viable growth strategy.
