Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), in partnership with its Joint Venture (JV) partner, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), is offering University Scholarship Awards to eligible Nigerian students from all states of the Federation.
The scholarship program is a key component of our strategic social commitment in Nigeria’s educational development.

ABOUT NNPCL/CHEVRON JV
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Chevron have a long-standing joint venture (JV) that has had a substantial impact on Nigeria’s oil and gas business. Here are some significant points of the NNPC-Chevron joint venture:
The NNPC/Chevron joint venture is one of the largest and most prominent in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. The joint venture operates multiple oil and gas fields in Nigeria, notably the Escravos and Warri fields.
The NNPC/Chevron JV was formed in 1973, with Chevron holding 40% and NNPC holding 60%. Over the years, the JV has undergone many adjustments and restructuring initiatives.
Requirement/Eligibility
Full-time, SECOND YEAR (200 LEVEL) degree students pursuing any of the following disciplines in Nigerian universities:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 in a 5.0 grade system, or the equivalent in other grade systems.
- Obtain a minimum of six O-level credits in one session.
The NNPCL/Chevron Joint Venture also provides scholarships for blind/visually impaired SECOND YEAR (200 LEVEL) degree students pursuing any course in Nigerian universities.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale or comparable in other grading systems.
- Have at least five O-level credits.
Deadline: The closing deadline for e-applications is precisely June 30, 2025.

Passport photo should be no more than 6 months old (450px by 450px, no larger than 200kb).
Required documents include a school ID card, admission letter, birth certificate, O’Level results, JAMB results, and a letter of identification from the local government.
