About Wigwe University Merit Scholarships 2025
Students who register at Wigwe University in 2025 can apply for the merit-based scholarship.
This award is meant to help students who have shown outstanding academic performance, leadership and business skills, and a desire to keep learning.
The scholarship will not only help with the costs of college, but it will also give students a chance to reach their academic goals at Africa’s top college. This will help them become the next generation of fearless leaders who can make a difference.
Scholarship Categories & Available Discounts
Based on UTME scores, these merit scholarships offer the following benefits:
- Founder’s Scholarship: 300+ UTME score → 60% tuition discount
- Board of Trustees Chairman’s Scholarship: 250–299 UTME → 50% discount
- Pro‑Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship: 220–249 UTME → 40% discount
- Vice‑Chancellor’s Academic Scholarship: 180–219 UTME → 30% discount
Who qualifies for the Scholarship?
To become eligible for these scholarships,
- Candidates must have picked Wigwe University Isiokpo as their first option and scored at least 150 in the UTME.
- Candidates must make sure their qualifying results are uploaded to JAMB.
- Candidates who are awaiting their O’Level results are recommended to upload them to JAMB as soon as they are announced.
- Candidates who fail to upload their results to JAMB will not be considered.
- Candidates who did not choose Wigwe University as their first choice university but scored the required cut-off mark may also apply, provided they visit the JAMB website and change their institution of first choice to Wigwe University before the close of the Change of Institution application process on the JAMB Portal.

- UTME Result Upload Deadline: August 20, 2025
- Scholarship Application Closes: August 26, 2025
- Notification of Successful Candidates: Between September 5–9, 2025

Steps to Apply for the Wigwe University Scholarship:
- Apply for admission via the Wigwe University portal and select Wigwe as your first-choice institution.
- Upload all necessary documents (UTME, O’Level, birth certificate, etc.) during the admission process.
- Navigate to the scholarship section and complete the application—including selecting your intended scholarship category and writing a brief essay (150–250 words) on “How I Intend to Use Education to Solve Africa’s Problems” where required.
