About the FCM Foundation Board Scholarship 2025
The FCM Foundation Board Scholarship (FCM FBS) is a scholarship program that is offered annually with the purpose of providing a one-time academic support to female Muslim students who are enrolled in the 200 and 300 levels at chosen public universities in Nigeria.
The fellowship provides selected learners with one-time cash support as well as an exclusive mentorship session that lasts for one day.
FCM FBS is now being funded by the Board of Trustees of the foundation, and its primary objective is to instill the habit of achieving outstanding academic performance, which ultimately results in graduating with first class honors.

Eligibility Criteria for FCM Foundation Board Scholarship
- Be a female Muslim college student
- Be at the 200 or 300 level at one of the schools that can accept you.
- Have a CGPA of at least 4.0 out of 5.0 (or the same)
- Be ready to go to the one-day mentorship session in person in Lagos, Nigeria.
Required Documents
The following documents are to be provided and uploaded during the application:
- Student Identity Card (of institution)
- Reference letter from a reputable Islamic Organization (Institution-based Students Organizations are not acceptable)
- The letter must be on letterheaded paper and be addressed to The Executive Director, First Class Muslim Foundation, Lagos, Nigeria.
- Letters should genuinely speak to the character of the applicants and should not be generic.
- Improperly addressed letters or generic letters will lead to disqualification.
- Current result slip showing student CGPA with the signature and stamp of the HOD
- A Personal Statement to convince panellists as to why they should consider you for the scholarship.
- The word limit for Personal Statement is 300.
- Font type is Century Gothic and the font size is 12.
- Spacing should be 1.5.
- Full name should be written at the top of the document.
- Personal statements must be uploaded as a pdf file.
- The unethical use of AI tools to generate or significantly adjust/review personal statements is prohibited. All personal statements submitted will be tested and evaluated for plagiarism or AI-derivation. AI detection beyond 20% is not acceptable. Applicants who disregard this will be disqualified from current and any future opportunities from the foundation.
