Job Description
- The Finance Manager oversees the organization’s financial health through budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. Â
- This position assures compliance with financial regulations, assists with strategic decision-making, and leads the finance staff in maintaining accurate records and improving financial performance. Â
- The Finance Manager collaborates with top management to devise financial plans and improve resource allocation.
Responsibilities of Finance Manager
- Working with Financial Control (FC) to establish, update, and implement financial and accounting policies, procedures, and strategies across the Group.
- Contributing to the creation of the Group’s yearly plans, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance measures to direct company operations and strategy implementation.Â
- Collaborating with the FC to develop company-wide standards for systems, data, and processes. Develop, update, and oversee the application of finance SOPs throughout the group.Â
- Designing and leading the implementation of a sound accounting structure and ensuring compliance with tax and other legislative provisionsÂ
- The establishment and upkeep of effective financial controls throughout the group’s operationsÂ
- Coordinate the accurate capture of financial transactions and consolidation of the company’s accounts from all business units and functions.Â
- Creating accurate, complete, and timely financial and management information, such as tax, cash flow, management accounts, and other statutory accounts.Â
- Â Coordinate the preparation of the company’s financial reports.Â
-  Managing the statutory reporting process, which includes creating deadlines and providing guidance to operational financial teams across the Group. This involves supporting the year-end Group accounting and the yearly review procedure.Â
- Working with finance departments to ensure intra-group balances are frequently reconciled and deviations are thoroughly reviewed and resolved.Â
- Maintaining ongoing communication with appropriate external bodies/contacts, such as regulatory organisations, auditors, solicitors, and banks.Â
- Preparing “Letters of Credit” for approval and sending them to the bank to assist the importing of productsÂ
- Supervise the computation and remittance of taxes, payment of insurance premiums, and other statutory costs.Â
- Provide technical instruction, assistance, and advice on financial accounting challenges, developments, and trends.Â
- Â Reviewing weekly reports filed by various departments/functional units and providing timely reports to the FC.Â
- Assisting the FO with financial risk management and control.Â
- Ensuring strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures, as well as using safe work methods where necessary.Â
- Performing any other function that may be assigned by the Supervisor or Line Manager
What are we searching for?
- A B.Sc. or HND in any discipline is required, along with a professional qualification from ICAN or ACCA.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the accounts/finance department.
