The NNPC/MPN JV Emoimee Host Community Development Trust (HCDT) Scholarship Scheme is an educational empowerment initiative that aims to help indigenes of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State improve their academic performance.

This application is only open for qualified indigenous people of Mkpat Enin studying in government-approved tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

About the Program

The NNPC/MPN JV Emoimee Host Community Development Trust (HCDT) Scholarship Scheme is an educational empowerment initiative that aims to help indigenes of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State improve their academic performance.

As part of Emoimee HCDT’s commitment to human capacity development, the scholarship program awards financial aid to deserving students who have exhibited academic achievement and are enrolled in government-approved higher institutions in Nigeria.

Program Objectives

  • To help outstanding but financially disadvantaged students from Mkpat Enin LGA.
  • To promote and recognise academic success.
  • Promote education as a tool for long-term community development.
  • To contribute to the academic and social development of Mkpat Enin LGA.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  1. Be bonafide indigenes of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
  2. Be currently enrolled in a government-approved tertiary institution in Nigeria.
  3. Has been offered admission or completed at least one academic semester with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent.
  4. Present valid and verifiable documents, including:
    • Admission letter
    • Semester or Session Result
    • School Fee Receipt
    • Passport Photograph
    • Certificate of origin
  5. Not be a current beneficiary of any other Emoimee HCDT scholarship award within the same academic session.

Scholarship Benefits & Conditions

  • The scholarship is offered for a single academic session and can be renewed with excellent academic achievement and reapplication. 
  •  Post-graduate awards under the system are one-time offers that cannot be renewed.

Application Process:

2025 NNPC/MPN JV Emoimee HCDT – Mkpat Enin Scholarship Scheme application portal

  • Visit the Trust’s official Scholars page, such as the “Apply” section of the Emoimee HCDT website. 
  • Fill out the online application form: enter personal information (clan, ward, L.G.A.), academic information (level/year of study, institution, program, session), and upload any relevant supporting documents (PDF format recommended). 
  • Merge all supporting papers into a single PDF file, including the admission letter, last semester’s results, school fee receipt, certificate of origin, and so on. 
  • Submit your application before the deadline.  Wait for a confirmation that your application was received. 
  • If you are shortlisted, you may be approached for further screening; the Scholarship Committee will then announce the ultimate beneficiaries.
