Program Overview
In keeping with its commitment to promoting education and growing human capital, NLNG is currently accepting applications for the 2025 NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (UGSS) from first-year undergraduate students who are eligible for the scholarship during the academic year 2025/2026. The University Grants Support Scheme (UGSS) is designed to provide financial assistance to outstanding students attending institutions in Nigeria so that they can achieve academic success and make a positive contribution to the development of the nation.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and currently resident in the nation.
- Be a full-time first-year undergraduate student in the 2025/2026 academic session at a federal or state-owned university in Nigeria.
- Have earned at least five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, in a single sitting (WASC, SSCE, or NECO).
- Have scored a minimum of 200 in the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- At the time of application, you should not be older than 25 years.
- Must not be the recipient of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from any organisation.
- Must not be a spouse, child, ward, or immediate relative of an NLNG personnel.

- Upload a recent passport photo (no glasses) and copies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE and JAMB UTME results, JAMB Admission Letter, LGA Identification, and Birth Certificate.
- Eligible applicants will be invited to take a computer-based Online Proctored Selection Test. NOTE: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to take this test.
- Qualified candidates will be notified to submit an additional set of mandatory documents following the test.
- Scholarships will be offered solely to candidates who satisfy all eligibility criteria and selection procedures.
