Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Ministry of Works in Nigeria has initiated an exciting new Engineering Mentorship Programme.
The program’s objective is to provide young engineers and skilled craftsmen living around the country with all the resources necessary to become successful in their fields. This effort is more than just recruitment; it is a nationwide capacity-building and mentorship intervention that aims to increase technical skills, reduce unemployment, and strengthen the delivery of federal infrastructure projects. The goal of this initiative is to improve the delivery of government investments.

Why This Programme Matters
The main goal of the Engineering Mentorship Program is to:
- Give young professionals and craftsmen hands-on experience with modern building and engineering methods.
- Create a long-term pool of skilled workers for Nigeria’s infrastructure sector.
- Use organized, short-term jobs to help young people find work.
- Pairing trainees with experienced engineers and industry people will help them get better at completing projects.
This method is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s goals of improving people’s practical skills, giving them more economic power, and building infrastructure across the country.
What You’ll Gain
You will have some real benefits by becoming a part of the Engineering Mentorship Program:
✔ Structured field mentorship with professionals that are certified.
✔ Temporary work with monthly payments to help trainees pay for their training.
✔ Everyone gets basic safety gear (PPE).
✔ You will get a certificate after you finish, which will look great on your resume and help you get a job.
✔ First choice for future prospects, such as possible contracts or jobs with government agencies or private contractors.
This systematic method makes sure that participants not only work, but also learn, progress, and become future leaders in Nigeria’s infrastructure development ecosystem.
