Job Role
Sun King is seeking an After-Sales Manager to head the After-Sales operations staff in Nigeria. Through the coordination of spare parts, the deliverance of efficient service, the management of warranties, and the provision of technical support, this position will supervise after-sales operations, thereby guaranteeing high levels of customer satisfaction.
The responsibilities of the position include the establishment of seamless relationships with internal and external customers, the optimization of processes, the maintenance of strong relationships with customers and service partners, and the achievement of best-in-class customer satisfaction. Additionally, the management of a team is required.
Responsibilities of Sales Manager
After-Sales Service Management
- Ensure that customer complaints, warranty claims, and service requests are resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor the service turnaround time (TAT) and make improvements.
- Coordinate with technical teams, partners, and third-party service providers to provide high-quality replacements, repairs, and maintenance.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, advise, and guide the after-sales executives and technicians.
- Conduct training sessions to improve the team’s customer service and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Encourage professional development within the team by mentoring individuals to acquire valuable skill sets.
Warranty and Spare Parts Coordination
- Manage warranty administration, which includes approvals, rejections, and documentation.
- Manage your spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
- Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure timely spare part acquisition.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain solid relationships with major clients and handle escalations proactively.
- Conduct customer feedback surveys and make service changes.
- Maintain compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
System and process design:
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure that all company systems, including applications, satisfy customer service requirements.
- Create new procedures to make existing service operations more efficient.
Drive operational efficiency:
- Define and manage the coordination of the aftersales business’s long-term strategic plans based on future business growth in accordance with the global aftersales strategy.
- Maximize the efficiency and profitability of Nigeria’s service department in line with current offerings and projected business growth.
Reporting and MIS:
- Create and deliver periodic reports on after-sales performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and make process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with business rules and industry requirements.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma from a recognized university, preferably in engineering or another similar area.
- An advanced degree is an added benefit.
- 8+ years of expertise providing after-sales services in renewable energy, electronic consumer products, and mobile industries.
- Extensive experience leading the After Sales Service department in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including the ability to synthesize information and manage stakeholder relationships to achieve goals.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service and addressing concerns.
- Efficiency and organisational skills.
