About the 2025/2026 AOF Undergraduate Scholarship
Welcome to the Alex Otti Foundation’s scholarship application webpage. We are caught between the rising costs of education and the aspirations of clever, talented students on the outskirts of society.
We provide financial assistance through this organized intervention to help you reach your goals and become a future leader.
This scholarship is strictly for indigent students – those whose families struggle to fund tertiary education.
If you have the financial means to pay for your education, we kindly ask you to step aside to allow those in genuine need to benefit. This is your first act of giving back to society.
Eligibility criteria for AOF Undergraduate Scholarship 2026
Before you begin, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Academic Standing: Minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent) in your first year.
- Level: Currently progressing to 200-level (including Direct Entry students).
- Status: A regular undergraduate student in a public tertiary institution (Part-time and Sandwich programs are ineligible).
- Ancestry/Residency: You must be ancestrally from or currently residing in Abia State.
- Sibling Rule: You do not have a sibling who is a current AOF scholar.
What You Will Need
To complete this application, you must have digital copies of:
- Signed Statement of Result (issued by your Department or Faculty Admin).
- Proof of Residency (Utility bill or letter from a community/religious leader).
- Valid Identification.
- Three Essays (400 words each, totalling 1,200 words).
A Note on Integrity: The foundation insists on original thoughts. Plagiarism or the excessive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will lead to immediate disqualification. We want to hear your unique voice.
Instructions for the Form
Deadline: Midnight on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
- Drafting: We recommend drafting your essays in a separate document and pasting them into the form once you are ready.
