Job Description

  • Husk is seeking a seasoned Business Manager, Finance, to provide assistance to the GM Finance in conjunction with all financial responsibilities of the company.  
  • The candidate will be accountable for the organization’s quality control of financial transactions, the monthly financial statement, trade receivables turnover, and cash flow plan.

Main Responsibilities for Business Manager, Finance :

  • Develop a cash flow plan and determine the business’s working capital needs.
  • The preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, as well as the reporting of variances to the Country Director and CFO.
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to facilitate the liquidation of trade receivables
  • Monitor the turnover of receivables and strive to improve its efficiency.
  • Business risk mitigation and oversight of questionable or problematic debts
  • Creating and disseminating monthly financial statements in a timely manner
  • The month-end and year-end closure process is supported.
  • Oversee the integrity of financial transactions and reporting.
  • Establish and reinforce internal controls and compliance by implementing business processes and accounting policies.
  • Collaborating with the country director to ensure the implementation of appropriate financial strategies
  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  •  Actual monitoring/financial planning
  •  All other responsibilities of the Controller as necessary
  •  Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Chartered Accountant, CA Inter, or a master’s degree in accounting
  • A minimum of eight years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CA/CPA equivalent
  • Financial management
  • Budgetary expertise
  • Collaborating closely with the business team to develop financial strategies
  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis Preference is given to candidates with experience in the solar, tech, or construction industries.
  • It is highly recommended that you have experience with Tally and other ERP systems.
  • Regulatory requirements, corporate governance standards, and internal controls.

Additional Details Location and Transportation

  • Abuja, Nigeria, serves as the location of this position.

 Compensation

  •  Based on experience, the monthly gross ranges from NGN500,000 to NGN800,000.
