Job Role
The CCTV Network Engineer IT will be accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the CCTV network systems that secure and monitor Dangote Group’s facilities. This position necessitates proficiency in the integration of video surveillance systems with existing IT networks, CCTV technology, and network infrastructure.
While adhering to security protocols and standards, the successful candidate will guarantee the reliability and efficacy of data management and video streaming.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
- Design and implement CCTV network architecture to provide reliable communication and interaction with existing IT systems.
- Troubleshoot and address network issues involving CCTV systems.
- Monitor CCTV system performance and optimize for better video quality and accessibility.
- Collaborate with security teams to determine camera location and system specs based on security needs.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on CCTV equipment and related software.
- Ensure that all necessary surveillance-related security policies and procedures are followed.
- Keep up with technology improvements in CCTV and network systems.
Education and Work Experience Skill.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CCTV network engineering or a similar field.
- In-depth understanding of IP surveillance systems, networking, and video management software.
- A solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
