Job Purpose / Summary
You are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the effective manufacture of high-quality clinker and cement at the plant in order to produce the maximum amount of money for DCP.
Always make sure that production is at its highest possible capacity at the factory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
Participate in the creation and implementation of a production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc.
Create and manage the plant’s production, capacity, and material requirements plans in accordance with the company’s strategic aim.
Oversee the execution of the authorised production plan at the facility to ensure that stated targets are reached.
Ensure production processes follow agreed-upon procedures and criteria.
Prepare an annual production budget based on pertinent issues such as market pressures, and ensure that anticipated budgets are met through resource optimisation.
Coordinate and supervise the production team to meet daily production targets within the stipulated quality level, budget, and time frame.
Coordinate planned shutdowns of production lines for maintenance.
Oversee the repair of cement kiln linings, raw material mill operations, and the cement packaging system.
Stay up-to-date on cement production trends and best practices, and provide ideas for increased productivity.
Coordinate with other production, mine, and maintenance departments as needed to satisfy production demands.
Provide general guidance, leadership, and strategic direction to the Production team.
Prepare and present production reports and information to management to improve decision-making.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a similar branch of study.
WORKING EXPERIENCE
Minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant work experience, ten of which must be in a leadership role.

- In-depth understanding of cement production methods
- Strong understanding of the cement sector (both domestic and worldwide), including trends, difficulties, opportunities, rules, and legislation governing the cement manufacturing industry.
- Strong people management and leadership abilities.
- Strong relationship management and communication abilities.
- Excellent understanding of product quality parameters and quality control.
- Capability to handle numerous priorities.
- Job classification: SGM, CGM.
