Key Responsibilities for Chief Security Coordinator
- Perform frequent security audits and risk assessments to discover vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
- Install and administer security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Ensure that the organisation complies with all applicable security laws, rules, and standards in India.
- Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats, and respond quickly to security issues.
- Oversee the implementation of physical security measures such as access controls, CCTV cameras, and security staff.
- Create and manage incident response plans to ensure prompt and effective responses to security breaches.
- Manage records, paperwork, and reporting to show compliance and facilitate audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to include security issues when developing new goods and services.
- Stay up to date on the newest security trends, technology, and legislative changes to ensure that the security function continues to improve.
- Required skills and qualifications.
- Â A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a similar discipline.
- Â Relevant certifications
- 7+ years of expertise in security management, with a proven track record of establishing and executing security policies and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing infrastructure security in a company.
- A thorough awareness of industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- An analytical approach and excellent problem-solving abilities are required to identify risks, analyze complicated security issues, and find acceptable solutions.
- Current knowledge of growing security threats, trends, and technology in India.
- Â Experience performing security audits, risk assessments, and managing incident response processes.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- A master’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a similar discipline.
- Â Understand Indian privacy rules and regulations, such as the Personal Data Protection Bill.
- Understanding of security frameworks
