Job Role
- The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze, optimize, and support the logistics and distribution network within the company’s supply chain function. Â
- This position assures cost-effective, timely, and correct delivery of goods by monitoring transportation performance, maintaining logistics data, and improving overall operational efficiency. Â
- The ideal applicant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough understanding of logistics operations and the changing demands of the FMCG industry.
Key outputs and responsibilities:
Logistics Performance Monitoring
- Track, evaluate, and report on key logistics KPIs across transport and distribution operations to ensure they are in line with productivity and service levels.
Cost and Productivity Optimization
- Â Analyze logistics costs, route optimization, load utilization, and warehouse efficiencies to find and execute cost-saving opportunities.
Data Management and Analysis
- Manage logistics data systems to deliver precise, real-time insights for decision-making and continual improvement throughout the supply chain.
operational support
- Â Provide analytical and procedural support to the logistics and supply chain teams in order to eliminate operational bottlenecks and increase overall efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (procurement, planning, finance, warehousing, and transportation) and external logistics suppliers to ensure synchronized operational data and key performance indicators.Â
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Â Drive and support lean and agile techniques in Tier 1 and 2 transportation, utilizing tools such as root cause analysis and benchmarking to help optimize processes.
Compliance & Reporting
-  Maintain adherence to internal controls, company rules, and applicable transportation requirements. Create timely reports and insights for management reviews.
Technology and Tool Utilization
- Â Use logistics platforms, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools to improve data visibility and report accuracy.
Minimum requirements for Distribution Analyst at International Breweries
- A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business analytics, engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Completed Data Analysis or Data Science Training
- A minimum of two years’ experience in logistics, transportation planning, or supply chain analytics, ideally in the FMCG business.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, as well as a track record of solving complicated problems on their own and effectively.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, notably Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experienced with data visualization and analytics technologies such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Technical expertise in SQL, Power BI, and Python (or other analytics languages/tools).
- Demonstrated capacity to adapt to and drive change in a changing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP) and transport management systems (TMS) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication abilities, with the ability to influence and manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
