Job Description
An Engineer/Technician will provide assistance to the Engineering Team in the efficient maintenance of all hotel operations to ensure the highest levels of safety, security, conversation, and compliance.
Main Responsibilities of Engineer – Technician
As an Engineer/Technician, you will work with the Engineering Team to ensure that the hotel’s engineering and maintenance activities, including general property maintenance energy conservation, run smoothly and to standard.
You are also in charge of developing the Engineering Team and remaining current on compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as needed by hotel standards.
Specifically, an Engineer will do the following responsibilities with the highest standards:
- Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance in the hotel rooms.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls. Follow the preventative maintenance schedule to maintain equipment and specified locations to the appropriate standard.
- Assist in the implementation of an energy conservation program.
- Recommend maintenance system upgrades and energy savings.
- Keep all tools, equipment, and work locations in good shape.
- Update your technical training knowledge and skills.
Additional Requirement
AC/Refrigerator
Mechanic is responsible for keeping all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and installations in excellent operating order by performing necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.
What shall I do?
As an AC/Refrigerator Mechanic, you are responsible for carrying out the following tasks to the highest standards:
– Reports to the A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman on daily job progress and fault report completion.
– Collects all refrigeration and air conditioning fault reports on a daily basis. Guest room issues are prioritized.
– Collaborates with A/C and Refrigeration Technician/Foreman and peers to perform preventive maintenance and an annual maintenance program.
– Adheres to all safety laws and regulations in the job, departmental procedures, and directions. – Completes all other chores assigned to him by his supervisor.
In addition to executing the main activities, this job may be asked to execute a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time spent on each function chosen exclusively by the supervisor depending on the company’s specific needs.
– Can read building, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical designs.
– Capable of identifying and repairing faults in air conditioning, refrigeration, and building control systems. Good electrical expertise
– Understanding of BMS systems. – Experience with reciprocating chillers, air handling plants, and cold rooms. – Be familiar with scheduled Preventive Maintenance and Safety programmes. – Flexible and team member
– able to work on own initiative – Good understanding of water treatment procedures and ability to handle chemicals
– Conducts quarterly inspection tours to ensure all refrigeration equipment is functioning properly
– Performs guest room maintenance in accordance with the schedule
– Collaborates with electrician to complete electrical work as needed, including celebrations and parties.
– Fills out a daily refrigerator log sheet and records temperatures
– Collaborates with peers to assist with their jobs as directed by the supervisor
– Maintains a nice and clean work environment and attends all departmental meetings and training programs.
