Job Summary
The Ground Support Equipment Technician will conduct all maintenance activities on the Ground Support equipment in line with OEM-approved documentation, as well as Air Peace and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities of Ground Support Equipment Technician (Electrical)
The responsibilities of the selected applicants include but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, trouble shoot and repair aircraft ground support and industrial equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
- Read, interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and the electrical code specifications.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Conducts general electrical maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge in welding is a plus.
Key Performance Indicators
- Achieve 95% of the Ground Support Equipment availability
- Quality of Component and Equipment Maintenance (MTBF)
- Number of incidents / accidents
- Proper use of materials and consumables required for the Ground Support
- Equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Minimum).
- At least 3 years Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpretate technical manuals to perform duties.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Knowledge of Aviation Legislation/Regulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Human factors application.
