About Whassan Nigeria Limited
Although WENL has been around since 1982, its main goal is to provide catering and facilities management services to companies in the upstream oil and gas sector. ADASA, on the other hand, was founded in August 2010 to provide catering and facilities management services to companies outside the Oil & Gas (O&G) sector of the economy.
Both ADASA and WENL are the biggest professional catering and support service providers in Nigeria, and they both serve big clients at onshore and offshore sites.
The two companies are owned and run by the same management, so they are sometimes just called “WHASSAN.”
Job Role
- We need an HSE Officer with experience working in the food service business to join our team in Lagos.
- As a Catering HSE Officer, it will be your job to make sure that our staff and customers’ health, safety, and the health of the environment are taken care of in our catering activities.
- You will come up with and enforce HSE policies, do risk assessments, and teach staff how to follow HSE processes.
Duties and obligations
- For catering operations, develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- In order to identify potential dangers, it is important to conduct risk assessments and inspections periodically.
- Educate employees on the processes and procedures pertaining to health and safety.
- Conduct investigations into problems and put corrective actions into effect.
- Working together with other departments to guarantee compliance with HSE regulations.
Qualification for HSE Officer at Whassan Nigeria Limited
- Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a field that is closely related is required for the bachelor’s degree.
- Two years or more of experience in a health, safety, and environment role, preferably in the catering or food industry HSE certification (such as NEBOSH or IOSH)
- Certificate for Food Safety and Hygiene Management
- Highly developed abilities in both communication and organizing.
