Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
- Troubleshoot instruments and control loops to ensure peak performance.
- Perform routine inspections of instrumentation equipment to discover flaws and take corrective action.
- Keep thorough logs of instrument and calibration data.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize instruments and procedures.
- Train and coach junior technicians.
- Participate in safety audits and rigorously follow safety requirements.
- Carry out other tasks as given by Superiors.
Requirements
Education & Work Experience
SSCE + 8 years of experience + Trade Test 1, 2, 3. OR Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Related Field) or equivalent.
A minimum of two to five years of expertise in instrumentation in an industrial context.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of calibration standards, maintenance procedures, and safety precautions.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and instrumentation software.
