Job Summary

You will be the primary technical contact for workers at your assigned branch, actively monitoring systems and user activity to ensure compliance with Group IT policies.

 With this dual focus – hands-on support and governance supervision – you’ll be able to resolve everyday IT difficulties, teach colleagues, and help implant security-minded habits throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities/KPI

Typical Activities;End-User Support (50%):

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and printer issues (Windows, macOS, and mobile).
  • Manage user accounts, Gmail, and Google Workspace services.
  • Escalate complicated incidents to the Head Office while keeping ownership until resolution.

Compliance and Monitoring (30%)

  • Perform daily/weekly checks against Group IT Policy (asset logs, patch status, AV dashboards, backup reports)
  • Conduct spot audits and document the findings with corrective actions.
  • Ensure that new devices and apps fulfil the security baseline before deployment.

Training and documentation (15 percent):

  • Deliver brief classroom or one-on-one lessons on safe computing, phishing awareness, and productivity techniques with Google Workspace technologies.
  • Maintain up-to-date branch “How-To” guides and knowledge base articles. 

Provide project and vendor support (5%).

  •  Assist with rollouts (WAN improvements, CCTV, VoIP, ERP modules).
  •  Liaise with external vendors, evaluate job quality and sign off on SLAs.

Required Qualifications:

  • OND/HND/degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or recognised equivalent).
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on technical assistance experience in a multi-site or enterprise context.
  • Proven track record of enforcing or complying to information security or IT governance standards (ISO 27001, ITIL, or similar)
  • Soft skills:  Excellent written and spoken English; calm customer service demeanour; strong documentation practices; ability to shift priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel between designated branches, usually one short trip each month, and occasionally assist nearby sites (company-funded).
  • Industry certifications (Google Workspace Administrator or similar) are a plus.
  • Experience using help-desk ticketing systems (Jira, Freshservice, or similar) is an added plus.
  • Automation requires basic scripting (PowerShell or Bash).
  • Familiarity with CCTV, VoIP, or POS hardware.
  • Windows & macOS administration; basic Linux familiarity.
  • Networking foundations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi).
  • Google Workspace management (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet) includes group settings, shared drives, and access controls.
  •  Endpoint security tools and patch management platforms.
