What to Do After You Get an Admission Offer

If your JAMB CAPS shows “ADMISSION OFFERED.” Then it is good news. It means your school and JAMB have both approved your admission. Many students do not know what to do next at this point, we are going to break it down for you.

First, you are going to use the same phone number you used for JAMB registration and send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019

After sending the message, you must wait for a few minutes, go back to the portal again to check if your choice has been recorded.

Log in to the JAMB portal and print your JAMB Admission Letter. This is what you will need for your school’s clearance, registration, and sometimes even for hostel application or verification.

Keep both soft and hard copies in safe places. It’s easier than trying to reprint it later when the portal gets busy.

What if the School Offers You Another Course?

Yes it always happens, you may be offered a course different from what you applied for, sometimes they’ll say, “You’re in, but for a different course.” This is what to do.

  • Sign in to CAPS.
  • Click Transfer Approval.
  • Choose to accept or reject.
