Through the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA), the Federal Government of Nigeria has started “NiYA Gigs,” a digital empowerment platform meant to link young Nigerians to employment, digital gigs, training, and funding aid.
The initiative centers on turning daily “hustles” into scalable, environmentally friendly wealth-generating businesses.
What is NiYA Gigs?
NiYA Gigs is a national platform under the broader Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) ecosystem that equips and connects youth with digital gigs both locally and globally. The platform:
- Matches skilled youth with freelance job opportunities
- Offers mentorship and capacity building
- Helps young Nigerians build portfolios, gain clients, and earn sustainable incomes from anywhere

- Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 and 35
- Those with an entrepreneurial spirit, a service, a product, or a digital talent
- A willingness to learn, earn, and develop is required.
