The MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition is back for 2025. It gives primary and secondary school students in Nigeria a chance to show off their spelling skills and win great prizes. The competition is run by MTN Nigeria through its mPulse initiative and aims to promote literacy, boost confidence, and reward academic excellence among young learners.

About the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition 2025
The MTN mPulse Spelling Bee is an annual educational competition that aims to: Improve students’ spelling and vocabulary skills. Encourage healthy academic competition. Reward the best students with scholarships, gadgets, and other exciting prizes.
Since it started, the competition has helped thousands of students improve their language skills and win prizes that can change their lives.
Are you a great speller? Are you between 9 and 15 years old? Can you win the upcoming MTN mPulse Spelling Bee? Then get ready to fight for fame, great prizes, and national recognition!
Eligibility Criteria for 2025 Competition
1. Open only to Nigerian students aged 9–15 in primary or secondary school.
2. Spellers must register as STUDENTS to participate.
3. Parents/guardians cannot participate on behalf of students
4. Practice quizzes are available – play as many times as you like!
5. Finalists (Top 20) must be on the MTN mPulse tariff plan.
Competition Stages:
Round 1: 10 spelling questions – live on mpulse.mtn.ng.
Round 2: 20 spelling questions – also on mpulse.mtn.ng for shortlisted students only.
Regional Event: On-ground regional competition which will be held in Ibadan, Enugu and Abuja for shortlisted students only.
Grand Finale: Live event in Lagos, streamed online for everyone to enjoy!

1st Prizes
- Student – MTN CEO for a Day, mPulse Face for the Year, 5million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
- Teacher – ₦500,000 cash
- School – mPulse School intervention, 1CT Lab (10 laptops), 10 MTN 5G Broadband
2nd Prize
- Student – 2.5million Naira scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone and mPulse goody bag.
- Teacher – ₦300,000 cash
3rd Prize

- Follow the prompts to subscribe to mPulse.
Step 2: Complete Registration Online
- Visit the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee portal by clicking on the application button below.
- Fill in your details (name, age, school, contact info).
- Submit and wait for a confirmation SMS.
Step 3: Prepare for the Competition
- Study the official word list (available on the portal).
- Practice spelling daily using educational apps or books.
- Participate in online mock tests (if available).
