About the NDDC Local Post-Graduate (Master’s Degree) Scholarships 2025/2026
With the intention of enhancing Human Resource Development in the Niger Delta region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is once again beginning its Post-Graduate Scholarship Program.
This is part of the ongoing endeavor to improve the region’s human resource development. Through the implementation of this program, our young people will be provided with the necessary information and abilities, which will enable them to effectively participate in the Local Content Program that is being implemented by the Federal Government.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage global competitiveness by providing financial assistance to facilitate academic achievement and professional development in important fields of study.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following requirements in order to be considered for the scholarship program.
- Must be a resident of a Niger Delta state: Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross-River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, Abia, or Rivers
- A Nigerian citizen who has earned a bachelor’s degree in the first, second, or third class.
- Successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Aged 35 or younger (some sources use 40, but local scholarship prefers under 35)
- Admission to a Master’s program at a Nigerian university must be provisional or comprehensive.

Applicants who meet the requirements and possess applicable Bachelor’s degrees from university programs that are recognized in the following professional fields are eligible to participate in the program.
