Key Responsibilities of QA Engineer

  • Review and analyze business and functional requirements, as well as design documents, in conjunction with Product Owners to develop effective testing strategies. 
  • Responsible for the testing of a product, which includes the development of test plans and test cases, the creation of automation programs, and the testing of the entire application, from the user interface to the backend. 
  • Conduct comprehensive cross-browser/cross-device testing, browser-based testing, and mobile testing. 
  • Ensure that test case coverage is maintained in order to maintain requirements traceability. 
  • Offer proficiency in comprehending the content that should be evaluated and the manner in which it should be tested. 
  • Implement the most effective test methodology practices as outlined in the departmental standards. 
  • Advocate for the implementation of assessment standards 
  • It is imperative to preserve robust relationships with internal consumers. 
  • Organize testing meetings, summarize results, report issues and defects, maintain metrics, and offer recommendations for whether to proceed or not. 
  • Conduct a comprehensive examination of the potential causes and effects of software and production issues as they arise. 
  • Ensure functional coverage and application performance by creating, executing, and documenting test plans and test cases (UAT, Integration, End-to-End, Regression, Beta). 

Requirements for QA Engineer

  • 5+ years of experience as a professional Quality Assurance Analyst testing (8+ years if no university degree)  applications that necessitate high reliability and volume 
  • Capacity to operate efficiently in a team setting with minimal supervision and a meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities; aptitude for acquiring new technologies. 
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse array of individuals who possess a variety of technical skills. 
  • Capacity to utilize experience to conduct experiments that are both repeatable and dependable. 
  • A comprehensive comprehension of the principles of quality engineering and the methodologies used in testing 
  • Capacity to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in order to contribute to a vision of the future state of testing. 
  • Unix/Linux proficiency, fundamental SQL knowledge 
  • Experience with manual testing is advantageous; automation testing experience is advantageous. 
  • Outstanding communication abilities (verbal, written, and hearing)
