Job Summary:
- Responsible for overseeing plant operations and process control for kilns, raw mills, cement mills, and coal mills. Coordination, monitoring, and training for CCR operators.
Tasks and Responsibilities for Senior Engineer – Production:
- Operating the Raw Mill, Kiln, Cement and Coal Mills, and auxiliaries from the Central Control Room (CCR) during the shift.
- Coaching and training of newly hired CCR operators to carry out operational initiatives that increase productivity while decreasing production costs.
- Coordination of autonomous maintenance with shift patrollers to achieve plant availability for raw meal, clinker, and cement manufacture.
- Troubleshooting operational issues and taking steps to guarantee that the equipment continues to function properly.
- Optimising fuel efficiency, power usage, and manpower utilisation.
- Ensure that ISO systems and safety standards are adhered to in the production department.
- Ensuring that the quality of the product leaving his department meets internal quality standards.
- Assessing self-development needs and taking action to address identified areas for improvement.
- When another Kiln CCR operator is on leave, he relieves him.
- Management may allocate additional jobs based on their requirements.
- A bachelor’s degree/higher education diploma in chemical engineering or a similar field is required.
Requirements:
- At least 9 years of experience in a cement plant, as well as the necessary skills and competencies
- Good communication skills.
- Strong leadership characteristics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork, judgement, and decision-making skills.
- Critical thinking.
