Programme Overview:
The Transcorp Ignite 2026 Young Engineer Development Programme is an all-encompassing initiative that aims to expedite the professional development of recent engineering graduates in the power generation sector of Nigeria.
The program provides participants with mentorship, rigorous technical training, and exposure to real-world situations across all of Transcorp’s power plants.
It starts with a rigorous learning phase that lasts for three weeks, and then it moves on to rotational assignments throughout Transcorp’s power plants so that the individual may obtain practical experience and gain an understanding of how power production operations function.

- It connects what you study in school with real-world engineering work at a big power business.
- It gives you a clear path to a career in power generation with actual experience and the chance to work full-time.
- It helps Nigeria’s engineers grow and adds to the country’s energy infrastructure.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants are required to possess a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline that is pertinent to the position (such as Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Mechatronics, Energy, etc.).
- You can have anywhere from zero to one year of experience working in a relevant field.
- Be able to demonstrate that you are qualified to participate in the one-year program (January–December 2026).
- It is highly desirable to have a strong interest in working in the power sector of Nigeria.
