Job Role
Assist in the management and operation of water treatment systems in order to provide a steady supply of water of superior quality for production processes, all while adhering to environmental rules and ensuring that activities are carried out in an effective and secure manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains and oversees the operation of water treatment systems, which may include filtration, chemical dosing, and purification procedures, with the goal of ensuring a consistent and dependable supply of high-quality water for production processing.
- To ensure compliance and to promote continuous improvement, it is important to keep detailed logs of water treatment operations, including test results and actions related to maintenance.
- Find problems with water treatment systems as soon as possible and find solutions to them in order to save downtime and improve continuous operation.
- To be sure that the water satisfies the relevant standards and specifications by conducting frequent sampling and testing of the water quality parameters.
- To keep water treatment equipment operating at peak efficiency and to prevent failures of the equipment, perform routine maintenance and small repairs on the equipment.
Requirements
- The minimum educational requirement is a degree in a science-related discipline.
- One to five years of experience working in a laboratory or as a WTP operator counts as an additional advantage.
Salary
- N150,000 to N250,000 per month is the salary offered.
