Job Description
Delivery of the Recruitment Strategy:
- Ensure competency-based recruitment and selection in accordance with the clients’ requirements.
- Â Diagnose major difficulties and challenges during the recruiting process, and work with hiring partners to effectively resolve them.
Responsibilities forTalent Acquisition Specialist at NigerDock Plc
- Lead end-to-end recruitment with HR Partners, Business Leaders, and Hiring Managers. (including the formulation of competency-based job specifications and descriptions; clearly articulated selection techniques; and the general recruitment process).
- Coordinate successful interview logistics for shortlisted candidates, offer necessary candidate-specific information to business leaders/hiring managers, and ensure that regular updates and comments are supplied.
- Maintain consistent communication with both recruiting managers and candidates.
- Ensure competency-based interviews to demonstrate business/functional understanding during decision-making sessions.
- Creates innovative sourcing tactics to establish and manage talent pipelines.
- Conducts up-to-date industry information trends and possibilities to discover new talent sources.
- Responsible for reporting and communicating to stakeholders via weekly and monthly recruitment reports that highlight position progress, identify challenges, and summarize measurable interventions.
- Manage recruitment agency partnerships for hard-to-fill positions as needed.
- In collaboration with HR Partners, maintain high integrity of employee data and organization for the given population.
- Manage the experienced hire interview process, which includes sourcing and reviewing resumes, choosing applicants for interviews, organizing interview kick-offs, and debriefing sessions.
- Maintain the recruiting database and applicant tracking system (HR System); keep it up to date, and generate reports on a regular basis.
- Â Coordinate the recruiting approval process utilizing the existing applicant tracking system (BambooHR and others).
- Coordinate with recruiters to satisfy employment needs within MRF/BambooHR, within a stated timetable, quality targets, and budget.
- Â Identify essential target groups and source high-quality individuals via direct searches, applicant referrals, networking, recruiting sites, professional and social networking.
- Conduct a thorough screening and assessment to qualify candidates based on job-related competencies.
- Follow workforce hiring procedures (work orders) and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Employee data processing includes Master Staff list updates, BambooHR/ORION onboarding, and timely EOB notifications.
Experience / Education Required for Talent Acquisition Specialist at NigerDock Plc
- First degree in social sciences, business administration, or humanities.
- Professional membership in a recognised HR body, such as CIPD, CIPM, or SHRM.
- Proven ability to work in a culturally diverse, multinational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to create credibility with upper level internal clients.
- Direct sourcing talents, including social media and mobile techniques.
- Experienced management of competency-based recruitment.
- Experience with application tracking systems (our current system is BambooHR/ORION).
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional recruiting experience at all levels in Port Terminals/Shipyard Marine.
- Â Ability to drive metric-based recruitment strategies.
- Â Ability to proactively identify and resolve difficulties in a methodical manner
