About ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Programme
The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) are working together to improve the country’s workforce.
Nigerian Breweries Plc is seeking applications from young Nigerians who are qualified, have a good character, and have the potential to learn in order to participate in a rigorous training program that will last for nine months and focus on the development of technical skills in the areas of mechanical and automation maintenance and engineering, quality assurance, and logistics and distribution.
OBJECTIVES
• To provide youths with employable technical and scientific skills through training and equipping them with those skills
• To promote a public-private sector model in vocational and technical skills training and to contribute to the capacity development of our nation
THE PROGRAMME IN QUESTION
Successful candidates will receive free lunch and tuition if they are selected. In addition to receiving training at the Supply Chain Academy of Nigerian Breweries Plc, which is situated in Ibadan, participants will also have the opportunity to get experience in any of our Brewery Locations in Lagos, Aba, Ibadan, Enugu, Ota, Ijebu Ode, and Kaduna.
This program is non-residential. During the time that they are still in training, trainees will not be eligible to receive salaries. Only a monthly stipend will be available to them as compensation.
The trainees will not be given the status of official employees of Nigerian Breweries as a result of this program.
Requirements for the ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Programme
Educational Qualifications
Candidate must have the following qualifications, among others:
- Proficiency in English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Â For Mechatronics – Packaging, Brewing, and Utilities Operations and Corrective Maintenance, a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Metallurgical, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Electrical/Electronics, Automation, Production, Industrial Physics, Instrument, or Computer Engineering with a minimum of Lower credit from recognized institutions is required.Â
- A national diploma in any of the following (for Quality and Logistics Operations): Chemical Engineering, Biological and Physical Sciences, Food Science Tech, Laboratory Science, or Applied Physics with at least a Lower credit from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Graduated no sooner than 2022.
- Applicants must have completed NYSC at the time of the posting.
