Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and inventive Architectural Design Interns to become members of our expanding team. This internship provides practical experience in residential, commercial, interior, and landscape design projects. You will assist our senior architects in the development of design concepts, the drawing of plans, and the contribution to projects that are already underway, from the first idea to the final presentation.
Key Responsibilities Architectural Design Intern
- Help make architectural drawings and 3D models for homes, businesses, interiors, and landscapes.
- Help the design team come up with ideas, make presentations, and write reports.
- Do research on the site, gather data, and analyze it to get ideas for designs and see if they are possible.
- Help get ready for client and internal reviews by making materials, boards, and digital presentations.
- Keep project documentation and version control up to date.
- Go to design meetings and give creative ideas and technical feedback.
- Use new tools and ways of thinking to help design projects be more sustainable and creative.
Requirements:
- You must have recently finished a degree in architecture, environmental design, or a related discipline.
- You should know how to use design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and the Adobe Creative Suite. If you choose, you can also learn how to use Rhino or Lumion.
- Good knowledge of design rules, space planning, and how to show things visually.
- It helps to know a little bit about Nigerian building norms and rules for construction.
- Great in working with others and communicating.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to take feedback.
- You need to show a portfolio of your work (academic or personal projects) to be considered.
