Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant that can serve as a crucial member and partner for our team as we continue to expand.  A professional who has a comprehensive understanding of accounting concepts and strong analytical abilities that allow them to assess financial data, as well as a high degree of technical aptitude, is considered to be very valuable.  You will have the chance to interact with executives in order to take advantage of your exceptional presentation and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities of Senior Accountant

• Payroll administration and processing, including monthly journal entries. 
• Assist with annual 401k audit. 
• Support Accounts  Payable on a part-time basis, including processing vendor payments, managing business expenditure reporting and reconciliation, including Expensify processing, credit card reconciliations, and cross-functional communication to guarantee correct and timely submissions. 
• Ensures the accuracy of accounting data by recording, validating, combining, and entering transactions. 
• Compiles and analyzes account information to create and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries. 
• Verifies, allocates, posts, and reconciles transactions, as well as resolves inconsistencies, to keep subsidiary accounts balanced. 
• Maintains the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, creating a trial balance, and reconciling entries. 
• Financial status is summarized by gathering information to aid in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other statements. 
• Complete the month-end reconciliations for general ledger accounts. 
• Complete year-end accounting closing activities. 
• Assist with financial external audits by assessing and scheduling general ledger accounts, as well as supplying audit information. 
• Identify and drive revenue-generating strategies. 
• Develop a strategy to advance the team and organization. 
• Assess and recommend ERP system improvements to increase transaction processing accuracy. 
• Other responsibilities and projects as allocated.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or higher degree in finance or accounting. 
• Four or more years of accounting experience 
• Leadership experience is preferred. 
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred. 
• SAAS experience is desired. 
• Professional writing and verbal communication and presenting abilities are essential. 
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, particularly pivot tables, xlookup logic, SUMIFS, If Statements, Text to Columns, etc… 
• Strong account reconciliation capabilities. 
• Strong data analysis skills. 
• CPA is necessary.
