Job Role
- This is not a conventional data science position — the optimal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, with the ability to design production-ready ML/AI pipelines, lead advanced analytics initiatives, and influence system architecture. They will convert complex datasets into predictive, prescriptive, and actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across business, product, and operational domains.
- Candidates must possess verifiable experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, HealthTech, EdTech, or other fundamental technology sectors, meet U.S. senior-level technical standards, and hold advanced certifications in data science, machine learning/artificial intelligence, or cloud computing.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning:
- Develop and deploy machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics pipelines for enterprise systems.
- Convert business and technical requirements into predictive, prescriptive, and diagnostic models.
- Design and validate statistical models, algorithms, and artificial intelligence frameworks to address essential business challenges.
- Integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence models into production environments, microservices, or cloud-native applications.
Governance and Compliance;
- Ensure that models and data pipelines adhere to PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, and other pertinent regulatory standards.
- Establish comprehensive model governance, continuous monitoring, explainability frameworks, and thorough risk assessment.
- Perform data integrity assessments, quality assurance, and anomaly detection for essential systems.
- Metrics and Insights:
- Establish technical KPIs, model performance indicators, and monitoring dashboards.
- Evaluate system performance and model results to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Perform a root-cause analysis of model errors, biases, or failings and propose appropriate corrective measures.
Data Strategy and Architectural Framework:
- Oversee the development of scalable data pipelines, feature engineering frameworks, and data validation procedures.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to establish a resilient, secure, and high-efficiency ML/AI infrastructure.
- Develop and sustain real-time and bulk processing pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
Technical Leadership;
- Act as the main technical representative for data science projects, collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams.
- Conduct lead model design evaluations, perform code audits, and validate architectural frameworks.
- Provide mentorship to novice data scientists, analysts, and engineers in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, and production deployment.
Necessary Qualifications
- Over ten years of experience in technical data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence roles.
- Demonstrable experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, HealthTech, EdTech, or core technology platforms.
Practical technical proficiency in:
- Programming & Machine Learning Frameworks: Python, R, Scala, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit- Acquire knowledge
- Data Engineering and Data Pipelines: Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
- Cloud Platforms: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
- Data Analytics and Visualization: SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Looker
- Advanced Techniques: Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Recommendation Algorithms, Predictive Analytics
- Proven expertise in designing enterprise-level ML/AI systems for deployment in production environments.
- Proven experience working within cross-functional, globally dispersed teams.
- Proven expertise in stakeholder management with the ability to effectively influence executives, engineering, and product teams.
- Must successfully undergo security screening and background verification.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive technical evaluation.
Preferred Certifications:
- TensorFlow Developer Certification AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) Security or governance certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
- Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer Databricks Certified Data Scientist
