Job Role
In this position, you will oversee all commercial matters and project financials related to Service Orders, serving as the financial partner to our sales and project management teams. The role necessitates operating within a dynamic environment, where financial expertise is incorporated into the bid, proposal, and contract execution procedures.
How Will You Make an Impact?
- Examine, analyze, and negotiate the financial and commercial aspects of internal/external customer offers and Master Frame Agreements.
- Ensure the correctness of the cost and pricing computation throughout contract discussions, jointly with the Sales Lead and Project Manager.
- Work collaboratively with project managers to provide commercial assistance for assigned projects in accordance with PM@SE rules and contractual agreements.
- Responsible for all commercial and project financial aspects, such as monthly revenue recognition, forecasting, risk and opportunity management, lessons learned, and profit margin and cash flow optimization.
- Ensure compliance with accounting rules (IFRS 15 and local GAAP), legal requirements, taxation, foreign exchange, and business models.
- Perform monthly financial forecasting and reporting for projects, as well as identify and convey financial impact risks and opportunities.
- Ensure contract requirements are met (help with performance guarantees, forex hedging insurance, taxes, and so on).
- Perform a variety of general ledger duties, such as project-related journal entries and balance-sheet account reconciliation. Support internal and external audits as needed.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related experience is necessary.
- 5 years or more of professional experience in business administration or finance, particularly with experience in project execution
- Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, percentage of completion (PoC) accounting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and SAP are necessary.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication abilities, as well as the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English, a third language (helpful)
- The ability to travel is essential.
About the Team
Our Gas Services section provides low-emission electricity generation via servicing and decarbonization. Zero or low-emission power generating, with all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators housed together. Opportunities for decarbonization include improved service offerings, fleet upgrading, and digitization.
