NESCO in its drive to achieve increased and maintained efficiency in achieving its mandate is seeking to employ a fully trained, highly motivated and well experienced Supervisor, Security to join its team in Bukuru, Plateau State

About the Role

  • The Supervisor, Security will be responsible for developing and enforcing security policies that ensure the protection of NESCO’s assets and the safety of its employees while they perform their duties . 
  • This is achieved by implementing effective and cost-efficient security solutions that safeguard the corporation and support operational continuity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Supervisor, Security shall be responsible for the following (not limited to) :

  • Operations & Coordination: Coordinate security operations; manage, train, and assess the performance of all security personnel (both in-house and outsourced).
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and review security policies, plans, budgets, programmes, standards, and procedures.
  • Surveillance & Technology: Analyze and utilize CCTV camera and other electronic data to prevent and detect crime within the organization’s franchise area.
  • Asset Protection: Ensure the security of NESCO’s assets to optimize efficiency and customer service; conduct periodic and unscheduled patrols of corporation premises.
  • Enforcement & Theft Reduction: Mobilize teams to accompany sales staff during cash drives; ensure random checks on markets to reduce energy theft; apprehend vandals and impersonators.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Work with the Legal/Compliance Team to ensure compliance with local, national, and global regulations and standards; collaborate with the Health & Safety Department on risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop training content and conduct company-wide security awareness training.
  • Liaison & Crisis Management: Liaise with relevant security agencies to ensure staff safety; implement strategies to safeguard the corporation and assist in crisis management.
  • Investigations: Conduct and supervise investigations into security incidents; attend court cases when required.
  • Reporting: Prepare security-related documents, reports, proposals, and tactical/strategic initiatives for management attention.

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for candidates who combine formal education, professional认证, and practical security experience.

Minimum Educational & Professional Qualifications :

Computer ProficiencyBasic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Additional Preferences:

  • Good relationships with law enforcement agencies, or experience as an ex-service man 
  • Good knowledge of Plateau settlement areas
