An Overview of the Position
We are currently seeking to hire a seasoned backend developer who will be responsible for collaborating with other team members to develop scalable applications for a variety of sectors.
Main Duties and Obligations
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the entire application lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on debugging and scripting.
- Develop functional web applications by writing clear code.
- Debug and troubleshoot applications.
- Optimise performance by conducting user interface (UI) evaluations.
- Oversee the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies to enhance legacy applications.
- Work in conjunction with front-end developers to incorporate server-side logic with user-facing elements.
- Collect and resolve technical and design specifications.
- Offer internal teams training and assistance.
- Utilise and construct reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Collaborate with system administrators, designers, and developers to identify potential new features.
- Monitor the development of new technologies.
- Record methodologies and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
Credentials and qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Higher National Diploma in Computer Science or any other area connected to it
- A minimum of two years’ worth of work experience in a position that is comparable
