About the Role
This is a senior-level, leadership role within the University’s physical planning and development unit. The Chief Architect will be responsible for driving the architectural vision of the University’s growing campus, ensuring that all structures meet regulatory standards, functional requirements, and aesthetic excellence.
- Oversee the dKey Responsibilities
- design, structural layout, and construction quality of all University building projects.
- Manage physical planning projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Provide expert technical advice on campus master-planning, space utilization, and infrastructure development.
- Ensure all architectural works comply with national building codes, safety regulations, and ARCON standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A University degree in Architecture (B.Sc. or B.Arch) from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
- Associateship of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification work experience in architectural design, project management, and construction supervision.
- Proven proficiency in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and Revit.
Salary
CONTISS 13 (Commensurate with Federal Government approved salary scale for this grade level)
