Overview of the Position
- We are searching for a competent and committed individual to work as a Senior Lecturer in our MSc Data Science programme.
- The selected candidate will have a solid academic background, a track record of research and publication, and extensive postgraduate teaching experience.
- The post entails teaching, research, and service responsibilities, with a focus on helping to establish and develop the MSc Data Science program.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing advanced courses in the MSc Data Science program.
- Providing leadership in curriculum development to ensure relevancy to industry demands.
- Contributing to the academic community through committee work, program development, and other university-related activities.
- Mentoring and advising postgraduate students on their academic and career objectives.
- Engage in cutting-edge research and contribute to the university’s research goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience mentoring and supervising graduate students.
- A strong track record of scholarly papers in top journals and conferences in Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Analytics/Fintechs, Big Data & Products Analytics, Deep Learning, Data Visualisation, Data Governance, Natural Language Processing, and Forensics.
- A Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a comparable discipline from a renowned university.
- Active participation in professional data science organisations.
- Postgraduate teaching and curriculum development experience is extensive.
