The Delta State Government is delighted to announce to the general public the beginning of the 2025/2026 Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS) – Bursary Award Program. This project is aimed at providing financial aid to students in Delta State who need help to pursue their educational goals.
The SSAS bursary provides an important pathway for eligible students to flourish in their studies without the burden of financial restraints.

About Delta State Bursary & Scholarship Board
The Bursary Section of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board is responsible for coordinating and administering bursary awards and financial assistance programmes for eligible students of Delta State origin studying in approved tertiary institutions.
The Section is committed to supporting students academically by reducing financial burdens and promoting access to quality higher education through transparent and efficient student support initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SSAS Bursary Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- The student must be a bonafide student of a recognized higher institution, both government and private in Nigeria.
- The student must be a Delta State indigene.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time program (undergraduate).
- A minimum CGPA 200 Level and above in universities, ND2 and HND 2 in Polytechnics/Monotechnics and NCE II – III in Colleges of education.
- Must have a bank account in CBN approve commercial bank

- Logon to the Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS) portal:
- Click the Apply for Bursary/Apply Now
- Create an account using your email address and password
- Login to your account and start your application
Important notice:
- You will be charged a non refundable fees of N800 (Eight Hundred Naira Only) using your debit ard
- Print out online acknowledgement card
- Registration is for a period of four weeks, starting from Monday 11th May,2026 to Wednesday 10th June, 2026.
- There shall be physical verification at the close of the registration

No, only students who are currently enrolled in a full-time program at a recognized institution are eligible to apply for the SSAS Bursary.

Once your application is submitted, it will undergo a review process. Successful applicants will be notified, and bursary funds will be disbursed to the recipients.
