Job Title: Geoscientist
Job Responsibilities
- creating and updating static earth and reservoir models for well design, field development, and operational monitoring of the company’s assets.
- Contribute to geological projects and investigations, incorporating study findings into field development models.
- Create reliable models for well re-entry, intervention, exploration, and development drilling, as well as full field development planning.
- Primary liaison with Senior Reservoir Engineer to guarantee adequate linkages between static and dynamic models, as well as work and drilling progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, geophysics, or petroleum geoscience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Production Geoscience, Geomodeling, and Static Modeling.
Requirements Skills
- strong understanding of Petrel, CMG, and Jewel Suite. Required
- Good Seismic and Log Interpretation Skills.
- Field Development Plan competence.
- Expertise in Production Geoscience and Property Modeling.
- Structure Modelling Expertise in stratigraphy and structural architecture in the Niger Delta and other basins.
- Expertise in volumetric calculations and petrophysical modeling.
Job Title: Senior Geophysicist
Job Responsibilities
- 2D and 3D seismic interpretation for mapping subsurface structures and stratigraphy.
- Apply modern software and geophysical techniques to assess probable hydrocarbon resources.
- Integrate seismic data with geology and petrophysical data to create strong subsurface models.
- Identify and rate hydrocarbon possibilities and leads using geophysical and geological data.
- Recommend locations for exploration and evaluation wells that are consistent with the company’s objectives.
- Participate in the production of good-prognosis documents and post-drill evaluations.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology, or a related field.
- A minimum of ten years’ relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas business.
- Proven experience in seismic interpretation, prospect evaluation, and reservoir characterization.
- Membership in a recognized professional organization (e.g., AAPG, SEG, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Relevant software certificates (such as Petrel, Landmark, or equivalent) will be advantageous.
- Skills Required:
- Proficiency with seismic interpretation software (such as Petrel, Kingdom Suite, or Landmark).
- A thorough understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation procedures.
- Understanding of geological and petrophysical integration procedures.
- Capability to analyze complex datasets and draw relevant conclusions.
