About Lagos State Employment Trust Fund
The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) was formed by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law 2016 to give financial assistance to Lagos State people and to combat unemployment through job and wealth development.
The Fund will begin operations with an initial capital of N25 billion donated by the Lagos State Government over four years, but it will also seek additional contributions from donor partners, development agencies, business groups, and individuals.
Job Role
- The IT Officer will support the implementation of project-related technology solutions, such as eLearning platforms, data systems (Sharepoint, internal database, and Lagos State Labour Market Information System), and partner workflows (relevant application tools).Â
- They will also ensure the smooth operation of existing tools, update them, and develop more effective solutions to improve project visibility, delivery, and monitoring.
Duties and Responsibilities
E-Learning Platform Management:
- Support the development, deployment, and maintenance of the LSETF eLearning platform (elearning.lsetf.ng, a Moodle-based system).
- Create at least one new course on the eLearning platform in coordination with the project team, other LSETF units, GIZ, and appropriate contractors and training partners.
- Monitor user behavior, give technical help, and ensure learners have access to relevant content.
- Create reports on eLearning usage, progress, and comments to ensure continual development.
Lagos State Labour Market Information System (LMIS):
- Contribute to the creation of the Lagos State Labour Market Information System (LMIS) website, including the landing page and Power BI dashboard.
- Online surveys will be deployed, as well as database links to LMIS.
SharePoint and Content Management:
- Manage and update project-related content using SharePoint and the organization’s intranet.
- Facilitate data exchange and reporting among project partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all platforms meet data protection and cybersecurity standards.
Website Management and Optimization:
- Manage website hosting and offer second-level assistance for hosting platforms.
- Maintain and enhance project-specific websites for information sharing and reporting.
- Implement SEO methods to increase the visibility of the Employability Support Project.
- Update the website to share accomplishments, success stories, and project events like job fairs.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical help to project teams, training partners, and employers, including debugging software and database difficulties.
Ensure that the technology systems used for project monitoring and reporting are seamlessly integrated.
Qualifications & Experience for IT Officer at Lagos State Employment Trust Fund
- First degree or Higher National Diploma certificate (minimum of lower credit) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline from a recognized university. Master’s degree is considered an added advantage
- Minimum of 4 years experience in software/application support/database management.
- Knowledge/Experience of SQL, Power BI, Moodle
- Knowledge of C#, PHP, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge and experience with SharePoint, Drupal, and WordPress for content and website management.
- The NYSC discharge certificate is required.
