Job Role

  • The Social Media Intern will help the Marketing and Communications team implement social media strategies to fulfill FATE Foundation’s marketing goals.
  • This includes generating and uploading compelling content, maintaining social media channels, tracking performance metrics, and assisting with campaign execution to boost the foundation’s online visibility, expand its audience, and increase engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities for Social Media Intern at FATE Foundation

  • Create and curate interesting content (written, visual, and video) to boost brand exposure and engagement.
  • Manage the FATE Foundation’s social media presence, which includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Create, organize, and carry out social media strategies to boost engagement, website traffic, and conversions.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on social media indicators like engagement rates, follower growth, impressions, and campaign outcomes.
  • Create visuals (graphics and videos) to assist the campaign.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher national diploma in any area.
  • Expertise in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and best practices.
  • A basic understanding of social media analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social).
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on detail.
  • Creativity and eagerness to try out fresh topics and ideas.
  • Understanding of current trends in social media and internet marketing.
  • The ability to multitask and operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative workplace.
  • Basic design knowledge (using programs such as Canva, Adobe Spark, or Photoshop) is advantageous.

Experience:

  • Professional experience is not required; however, maintaining personal or small-scale social media profiles (such as blogs, Instagram, or TikTok) is advantageous.
  • Experience in content creation, such as writing captions, developing graphics, or taking photos/videos for social media, is advantageous; identify your area of expertise when applying.
  • Experience with scheduling tools or social media management systems is a plus.
