About the 2024 Access Bank Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program
The Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program {WDEP} is an initiative of Access, with implementation from the Nerdzfactory Foundation.
It aims to equip businesswomen with skills for digitizing their processes and positioning their businesses for long-term market relevance and success.
The program’s aims include, but are not limited to, encouraging more women to start online businesses, supporting women’s entrepreneurship, narrowing the digital gender gap, and enhancing women’s economic outcomes.
The curriculum focuses on providing participants with skills in digital business, social media marketing, online business management business pitching, bookkeeping, and other areas.
To maximize impact, the program will include:
- Women’s Digital Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (WDEB
- Women’s Digital Entrepreneurship Summit
- Business Connect Webinar
- An opportunity to pitch for a grant.
The bootcamp, webinar, and summit will provide participants with practical and hands-on knowledge, skills, and tools for starting and growing their businesses online.
The program will conclude with a pitch/grant competition in which the three best ideas/pitches from the bootcamp participants will be awarded prizes to help their businesses.
Eligibility Criteria for 2024 Access Bank Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program
- Applicants must be Nigerian female citizens, unemployed or underemployed.
- The applicant must be between the ages of 25 and 40 years.
- Educational requirements include SSCE and OND levels
- Applicant must have access to the internet
Benefits of the Program
- Participants will be provided with the knowledge, skills, and tools that they require to establish and expand their businesses online through the bootcamp, webinar, and summit. These can be gained through practical and hands-on experience.
- Following the conclusion of the program, there will be a pitch/grant competition. The three best ideas/pitches submitted by the participants in the bootcamp will be granted prizes that will be beneficial to their respective enterprises.
