IBEDC is short for Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc. It is one of the 11 companies incorporated in the Nigerian power sector and is tasked with the supply of power to most of the populace.

Electricity distribution: Offering electricity services such as residential, commercial, and industrial consumers in its coverage area.

Metering: Putting up and provision of electrical energy meters for billing purposes to consumers of electrical energy.

Customer service: Giving assistance to customers, filing complaints and inquiries about the services, billing, or any technical questions.

Job Requirements

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, journalism, mass communications, or a similar subject.

The Nigeria Institute of Journalism and other similar professional groups provide further benefits.

At least two years of experience in branding and communication.

  • Assist in the compilation of data for the corporate communication plan in the region:
  • Assist with media relations, crisis management, and negative publicity reduction in the region. Implement approved brand visibility activities.- Helped create material for regional press releases and media features, and coordinated business-related media updates.
  • Implement the assigned proactive and reactive community engagements.
  • Prepares weekly and ad hoc reports for key stakeholders.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
