Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, has introduced the FMN Prize for invention with the intention of fostering innovative concepts in the fields of food production, engineering, and invention, as well as demonstrating how these concepts can have an effect on and facilitate the development of a sustainable food system in Nigeria.
The FMN Prize for Innovation will, on an annual basis, bring attention to a significant component of the food value chain that is essential to the transformation and long-term development of the nation’s food systems.
The purpose of the first edition of the FMN Prize for Innovation was to encourage innovative ideas and solutions that are powered by technology in order to solve concerns regarding the loss and waste of food during the process of food production in Nigeria.
In order to accommodate entries from Nigerian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) as well as Nigerian students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, the competition was divided into two categories
Categories of the (FMN) Prize For Innovation
Category 1:
For registered Nigerian SMEs in the Food and Agro-Allied Sector
Category 2:
For students with innovative ideas to transform livestock farming in Nigeria.
