Job Role:

The Network Administrator and Engineer will design, install, manage, and optimize the organization’s network architecture to ensure consistent connection, security, and performance across all locations.  This position will help BUA Group’s digital transformation and assure the resilience of network systems for both domestic and foreign operations.

Duties / Responsibilities 

Specifically, the candidate’s duties will include:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems across BUA International’s global offices, to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Create a single network architecture to support BUA International’s activities throughout all subsidiaries.
  • Proactively  Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage outages to reduce downtime.
  • Configure and administer network gear and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Implement and enforce network security measures to prevent cyber attacks, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the network infrastructure supports business operations and expansion.
  • Conduct routine network audits and performance reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and manage cloud-based network solutions and hybrid settings (such as AWS and Azure).
  • Create and maintain documentation on network setups, policies, and processes.
  • End-users and IT workers will receive technical support and training on network-related issues.
  • Negotiate with vendors and service providers to purchase network equipment and services.
  • Ensure that network systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and carry out network upgrades, expansions, and migrations as needed.
  • Help with disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.  Protect your important international trade and company data from cyber threats.
  • Adhere to global IT and network standards such as GDPR, ISO, and other applicable requirements.

Key Qualifications for IT Network Manager AT BUA Group

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electrical/electronic engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of expertise in network administration or engineering, ideally in the manufacturing, FMCG, or international sectors.
  • Relevant professional certifications include:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Professional (CCNP)
  • CompTIA certifications include Network+ and CISSP.
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
  • Palo Alto Networks  Certified Network Security Engineers (PCNSE)
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (such as SolarWinds, PRTG, and Wireshark).
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid systems (such as AWS and Azure).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).

SKILLS

  • Troubleshooting complicated network issues requires excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities for developing and maintaining partnerships with vendors, service providers, and internal teams.
  • To manage various activities and projects, you must have strong organizational abilities and pay close attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and network management applications.
  • Junior IT staff will benefit from leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Additional requirements

  • Willingness to travel overseas to assist global network operations.
  • Knowledge of international compliance standards (e.g., GDPR and ISO 27001).
  • To operate in a multicultural workplace, one must be culturally informed and sensitive.
