Job Description
As the Recruitment Specialist, you will be in charge of developing, implementing, and optimizing recruitment strategies to attract high-potential applicants to ALX’s transformative programmes. You will collaborate cross-functionally with selection, marketing, and community teams to guarantee the smooth execution of recruitment initiatives that drive volume and quality.
Responsibilities of Learner Recruitment Specialist at ALX Africa
Recruitment Strategy & Execution
- Create and deploy high-impact student recruiting programs for specific audience categories.
- Develop and implement digital and in-person recruitment strategy across numerous channels.
- Organize and lead recruitment activities, including webinars, school visits, and community activations.
- Drive ambitious enrollment targets while maintaining a strong brand presence in key markets.
Engagement and Public Speaking
Deliver captivating presentations at schools, universities, and public events on behalf of ALX.
Engage potential students, parents, instructors, and stakeholders to raise awareness.
Train and empower ambassadors and partners with effective messages and mindsets to increase conversions.
Data-Driven Decision Making.
- Analyze recruitment data, trends, and insights to improve conversion rates.
- Identify bottlenecks in the student journey and deploy data-driven solutions.
- Track important parameters and generate reports to boost recruitment efficiency.
Partnership Development
- Develop and manage relationships with high schools, universities, and youth organizations.
- Establish strategic alliances to broaden ALX’s reach and recruit top personnel.
- Collaborate with marketing departments to ensure recruitment messages are consistent with brand positioning.
Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to unify recruitment and admissions procedures.
- Optimize recruitment workflows to increase efficiency and impact.
- Lead and mentor a team of recruiters, ambassadors, and call center representatives.
Requirements for Learner Recruitment Specialist
Must have:
- Preferably in the fields of education or youth development, 3-5 years of experience in student recruitment, marketing, or program management.
- Proven capacity to create and implement multi channel recruitment strategies that span both digital (e.g., email campaigns) and offline (e.g., school outreach) channels.
- Experience in the organization and execution of extensive recruitment events, such as school presentations, ambassador programs, and community engagement initiatives.
- Proficient in data analysis, with the capacity to monitor, interpret, and report on critical recruitment metrics in order to enhance strategies.
- Proven ability to cultivate leads and engage youthful audiences in order to increase conversions.
- Capacity to operate in a target-oriented, fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach.
- Demonstrates exceptional public speaking and presentation abilities to effectively engage students, parents, and educators.
