Purpose Of The Job
Oversee operations at Bagco’s three recycling plants (Lagos, Kano, and Morpack), ensuring the efficient and cost-effective conversion of waste materials into recycled polypropylene and other recyclable goods.
The job
- Lead and manage a team of recycling plant employees while promoting a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous development. Â
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accepting waste, turning it into recycled resources, and shipping finished products. Â
- Monitor and regulate the quality of recycled polypropylene and other materials to ensure they meet internal and external quality standards. Â
- Create robust processes for data collection and operational reporting. Â
- Create budgets and monitor the financial performance of recycling units. Â
- Control the costs associated with waste collection, recycling, and material handling. Â
- Â Implement and monitor KPIs for overall equipment efficiency, material output, cost per ton, and waste reduction.Â
The person must
- Have a thorough understanding of polymer recycling processes, such as polypropylene manufacture, flexible packaging waste recycling, and laminate materials management. Â
-  Knowledge of ERP and data management systems for inventory and production tracking. Â
-  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Â
- Â Expertise in leveraging performance measurements to achieve operational improvement.Â
Qualification
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or a related subject.Â
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in recycling operations, waste management, or manufacturing leadership positions.
