About Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is a Para-military institution and the Lead Agency for road traffic administration and traffic management in Nigeria.
The Corps is tasked to reduce road accidents, enforce traffic laws, promote road safety education and respond to crises nationally.
Role Overview / Job Details
The Superintendent Route Commander (SRC) is senior operational role and the 4th level of senior operational oversight in the FRSC officer cadre.
Key responsibilities:
Medical Leadership Provide medical leadership, support emergency response activities and administer health care services in the Corps
Operational Command: Full command responsibility for allocated routes, directing personnel and ensuring effective road safety operations.
Coordinating strategic enforcement efforts and managing multiple channels Strategic Coordination
disaster Response: Provide support to disaster response operations in the Corps’ areas of operation
Traffic Management: Regulation of road traffic and safety of highways in Nigeria
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must possess a First Degree in MBBS / MBBCH (Medical Doctors) from recognised institutions of learning
- Must present NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
Age Requirement
- Applicants must not be less than 18 or more than 35 years of age
General Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian by birth
- Be computer literate
- Possess current practising licences where applicable for medical and allied professional disciplines
- Be of good character, free from financial indebtedness, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence
- Be single
- Be medically fit and present a certificate of Medical Fitness issued by an approved government hospital
- Have a minimum height of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females
- Ensure that all certificates and qualifications are declared and presented at the point of recruitment; undeclared qualifications will not be accepted for future career progression
- Must not have tattoos on any part of his/her body
- Use personal email address and phone number when submitting applications
Additional Advantage
- Possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage

Salary Structure
The Superintendent Route Commander position falls under CONPASS 11 salary grade. Estimated monthly salary ranges from ₦261,654 to ₦293,875 per month.
